Contracts

Rainbow Junction has several types of parent contracts. The Center attempts to maintain reasonable childcare fees while meeting its goals of providing quality childcare services. This requires parents to look at daycare services as a commitment they make for their children by reserving child care space (slots) on a long-term basis. Fees are based on a sliding scale which takes several income categories and 4 age group categories into consideration. A 10% discount is given for additional children. Fees are annualized (so you have a weekly budgeted fee) based on the number of weeks of enrollment. TWO WEEKS NOTICE is required for changes in the contract including not renewing the contract for the next year. No refunds are given for changes in contracts.

Annual Contract

Designed for parents who work 12 months. Payment holds a slot for the child for the entire year. Contracts run from the first full week of school (or enrollment date) through the last week of summer (52 weeks).

School Year Contract

Designed for parents who teach 10 months or who are students themselves. This contract runs from the first week of school (or enrollment date) through the last week of the school year (approximately September through May or June). Weekly fees will be based on the total number of weeks during the school year including non-school weeks/days. Parents may opt to divide this total amount by the number of actual weeks their children will be at the Center or pay the set amount each week. Children are not expected on the non-school days but are welcome (please let us know). Weekly rates are figured on the in-school weekly rates x number of weeks in the school year divided by an agreed upon number of equal payments. There will be no extra charges if children attend the non-school days. Parents will be required to provide a school/college calendar to determine the number of weeks. This is not done on a semester basis. A copy of the school calendar will be attached with the contract. Please see "Absence Policy" for further information. Parents are responsible for all weeks inclusive, including semester breaks and vacations.

Annual Non-School and Vacation/Summer Contract

Designed for parents needing year-round school age childcare for the non-school days (including half days, conference days, etc.) during the school year, school vacations and summer vacations. Full day weekly/daily fees will be charged for the contracted days and vacations. Fees may be paid monthly. An additional daily fee will be charged for the emergency/non-contracted days your child attends (snow days, etc.).

Summer Only Contract

Designed for parents that only need care for the 10 summer months (last week in June through the last week in August). Full day weekly fees will be charged over the 10-week period.

Per Diem Contract

Designed for parents who need a flexible schedule for child care services due to specific work schedules. Parents sign up for and pay for specific days (dates) each month. Daily fees are charged according to the sliding fee scale. There is NO WEEKLY RATE benefit. The Executive Director will have discretion as to whether this contract is available or not based on enrollment.
